Value-based healthcare in Europe

Value-based healthcare looks at health outcomes of treatment relative to cost. In a series of reports that I edited we have examined the way in which value is interpreted across Europe, the extent to which European countries are adopting cost-effectiveness as a key criterion for assessing it, and the efforts to develop new models for pricing innovation.

Martin Koehring is a global sustainable finance and blue economy leader working at the intersection of capital systems, ocean sustainability and international development.

Over more than 20 years, he has held senior roles across multilateral institutions, think tanks and global initiatives. Most recently, he served as Ocean & Finance Specialist at the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), contributing to the development of innovative ocean finance mechanisms including the One Ocean Finance Facility and the BBNJ Finance Advisory Group linked to implementation of the High Seas Treaty.

Previously, he held leadership roles at UNIDO, Forum for the Future and The Economist Group. He currently serves as Trustee of the Marine Conservation Society and the New Economics Foundation.
