Martin has worked across the sustainability landscape for more than two decades, combining governance, research leadership and multi-stakeholder engagement to advance climate, food, infrastructure and ESG transitions.
Governance & Advisory
He currently serves as Trustee of the New Economics Foundation, where he chairs the Programmes and Impact Committee and sits on the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee. He has also served on advisory bodies including the Global Environment Outlook for Business (UNEP) and Sustainable Brands Turkey’s Global Advisory Board.
Institutional Leadership
As Editorial Director of The Sustainability Project at Economist Impact (Webby Award – Best Writing: Editorial), he helped shape global debates on ESG, climate transition and sustainable growth.
He has led major multi-year research programmes on:

• ESG and investor–corporate alignment
• Net-zero transitions
• Circular economy and plastics
• Electric mobility and decarbonising technologies
• Sustainable infrastructure and SDG implementation
