Recognising the need for urgent transformative action, Forum for the Future is launching the Responsible Energy Initiative in the Philippines (REI Philippines) – a multi-year, consortium-driven programme that aims to maximise renewable energy’s potential in the country. Our core mission? To develop renewable energy solutions that prioritise ecological protection, uphold human rights, and foster social equity.
We have also published a new report: Renewable Energy to Responsible Energy: A Call to Action. It provides a comprehensive look at the Philippines’ energy transition, assessing the ecological and social impacts of major renewable energy sources and exploring strategies for their management and mitigation.
By collaborating with key actors across the renewable energy value chain, we’re ensuring every step towards scaling up renewable energy in the Philippines is ecologically sound, socially just, and future-ready.
